At Parua Bay we have a dedicated group that compete every second week on Sundays throughout most of the year. A special thanks to Canvas & Covers for their continued support of our series. Typically there are two races, start times are tide dependent followed by a banter-fueled get together in the clubrooms.

Upcoming events
The 2026 Barneys Barrell race is coming up on Saturday 21st February. This is a long standing club tradition with its roots in the Town Basin. It started with swilling a pint of beer at the pub and then running through town to your boat and sailing as fast as possible to Parua Bay.
The 2026 version is a little more demure whilst honouring the Le Mans start with a can of soft drink replacing the beer, however the same spirit of club boats racing from Kissing Point to Parua Bay remains. It's a great day for the club involving our keelers and trailer yachts in a family style race.
